Grão Vasco Museum, Viseu

During the school break, I went with my family to visit Grão Vasco Museum, in Viseu, founded in 1916. This museum has adopted the painter's name Vasco Fernandes (c.1475-1542), known as Grão Vasco.

Inside, we can see Portuguese paintings from the sixteenth to the twentieth century. The most important works though belong to Grão Vasco and painters of his generation.

Among the works of Grão Vasco, the altarpieces stand out: "The Pentecost", "The Supper", "S. Peter" and "Annunciation ". Also important are the Mannerist and Naturalistic paintings by Portuguese painters, such as Silva Porto, José Malhoa and Columbano Bordalo Pinheiro.

The collection also includes watercolors, sculptures, furniture, tapestry and pottery, exhibited in the various rooms of this museum.

I found this visit interesting and useful, because at school, in History, when learning about the Renaissance Art, our teacher mentioned the name of Grão Vasco and some of his paintings on display at the Museum.

hi guys,

I have good news for you guys and for all Portuguese!
Our CR7 was elected the best player in the world for the third time and second time in a row,.He is the most remarkable player, really fantastic. He works every day, always does his best to help his team, the first to go to training and last to leave, that is: he trains hard to be the best ..
He is my favorite player. I love CR7.
For me he deserved the Golden Ball as he beat the record in the league of champions, was top scorer in the Spanish League, in the champions league, clubs league...and has won many awards this year because he deserves them.
My dream is to be like him, a great player ...and I am reading his book: all those who want to fulfill their dreams has to work real hard.
He has achieved everything because of his constant effort.

For me he truly deserved the Golden Ball.

Game: League Of Legends, by Rafael

League of Legends is a MOBA (Massive Online Battleground Arena) developed and published by Riot Games. It was developed with the participation of Gabriel Sanchez, a former developer of Dota (Defense of the Ancients) and Steve "Pendragon" Mescon, former administrator of Dota map. The game was very well received with its format, free to play, a system that allows anyone to play without the need to pay, but with items that can be purchased with real money. It became the most played game in the world with about 1.3 billion hours logged by players in N.America and Europe, between July 2011 and June 2012.

The game was first announced on October 7, 2008, and released on October 27, 2009, remained in beta from April 10, 2009 until October 22, 2009, and was officially launched in Brazil on August 9 2012.

It is a very interesting game, I think.

My mother

Hi guys,
today is my mother's birthday, and she's pregnant! I will have a little brother ... I have two sisters, but it's not the same. I've always wanted a brother so badly, to do many things with him: play football, playstation, go to the pool with him, everything!
He will be different from me, but I am not interested - we are all different.
I am very happy and my whole family, too.

Caramulo Museum

                                               AUTOMOBILE  MUSEUM IN CARAMULO

  These Christmas holidays, I visited the Automobile Museum in Caramulo with my family.

  The museum was founded in 1953 by Abel Lacerda who was passionate about art. He died in a tragic accident in 1957, but his brother, João Lacerda, more passionate about cars, continued the work that his brother could not conclude.     

  And that´s how the foundation Abel and João Lacerda was created.

Museu Marítimo de Ílhavo

Maritime Museum of Ílhavo

This school break I visited the Maritime Museum of Aveiro with my family. This museum - founded in 1937 and renovated in 2001 - aims to preserve the memory of hard sea work and disseminate the Portuguese culture and maritime identity.
The cod fishery in Newfoundland and Greenland and the chores at the "Ria de Aveiro" are the main attractions of the museum.
Since 2013,  it also includes a huge codfish aquarium.

This museum also includes a ship-museum called Santo André, a former trawler and part of the Portuguese cod-fleet, which is anchored in the maritime port of Aveiro.
