Gathering of pipers
Last weekend it was the fifth meeting of pipers in my village.
The meeting was organised by Ronca e Rasga pipers group, which is the name of the pipers' group from my village. In addition to Ronca e Rasga, there was also a girls’ group called Trigainas.
There is also a music school where you can learn to play bagpipe, drum and box. Anyone interested in learning can come on Wednesday night to the recreational and cultural association of Pouca Pena and sign up to learn.
What an interesting meeting, João! Hopefully there will be at least other five more meetings to preserve this old tradition. I found it quite curious that there is a female group... to tell you the truth, it's the first time I've heard of a female group of pipers. Kudos!!!
