Blog Anniversary #1

One Year, 365 days of hard work around a class blog that have paid off!
A year ago, I was attending a UO Teacher eLearning course with other incredible teachers from around the globe, led by an equally incredible Teacher Trainer, Donna. Both as a course challenge / task and a personal one, I created this blog with my form class, which I have had the privilege of having been given continuity.
Until this date and together, in a true TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More) work spirit, we’ve already published 163 posts, have had 1004 comments, and visitors from 59 different countries, which is really a feat. Our posts have included introductions, hobbies, family ties and trips, religion, citizenship, readings and obviously, school activities using different 2.0 web tools, games, and more recently, flipped activities.
We’ve created a united and amazing real and virtual learning community, leaving a remarkable footprint, learning English and digital literacies, committed 21st century learners as we all (including the teacher) are!
Yep, as a teacher, it’s hard for me to believe, but it’s been a year – a very successful year, with a national prize last October, thanks to this amazing class - 8ºA and their parents - and to all of you, who from far and wide, have visited, read and left your precious comments.

A huge THANK YOU!

    1. Cissé, what a mix of languages, but I believe your message is clear ;)
As you say, we are not stopping here! I am persistent and sure this is the way, Cissé, in what new technologies and language learning are concerned.

It was a great motivation to have won a prize as important as the one who won.
I have to thank Alexandra teacher , because without it this would not have been possible , Congratulations !!!

  4. Congratulations teacher! The class also is to be congratulated!
The Blog has been a good opportunity for the discussion of public interest issues and global historical events and at the same time share opinions with colleagues. The participation of people from other countries was very interesting because it gave us an insight into their culture, also we learn to develop our capacity written in English.
    We will continue !!

I'm glad you feel this way - it's time consuming for us all, but great in what concerns learning, sharing, collaborating, and obviously, being recognised :))))) and awarded prizes.

  6. The Alexandra Duarte teacher is of parabens as our excellent 8a class.
Without our Alexandra Duarte teacher what we did would never be possible because she was persistent, with good reason, with our class when we do not I sang comments or blog entries.
Hopefully that will last many more years.
    Congratulations 8a.

    1. You are no different from other teens of your age; we all have other interesting things to do, but as a teacher and you as a learner have to be persistent and LEARN - that's why you attend a school, right? We all have to work hard to achieve our goals... This blog will survive until you finish the 9th grade - it's our eportfolio, our common itinerary across a 3-yr period.
Thanks for your persistence and effort, too, Diogo.
