Joan Miró was a painter, sculptor and printmaker.
He was born on April 20th, 1893, Barcelona (Spain) and died
on December 25th 1983, in Palma de Mallorca (Spain). He attended Reial
Acadèmia Catalana de Belles Arts de Sant Jordi in the Spanish capital and the
Gali Academy. In 1919, after completing his studies, he was in Paris when he
met Pablo Picasso and came into contact with the modernist trends such as
Fauvism and Dadaism.
His first painting was made in 1917 and was named Prades,
the Village. During his life, he created 44 works being the last in 1978, five
years before his death.
In the creation of his works, he had the influence of Pablo
Picasso, André Breton, Jean Arp, André Masson, Hieronymus Bosh, Tristan Tzara
and Modest Urgell i Inglada.

(Some can cost about thirty milion euros, but some cost much more!!)
